Karate in MMA Training
MMA incorporates many of the punching and kicking techniques used in Karate.
Techniques such as side thrust kicks, snap kicks, round house kicks and spinning back thrust kicks are common to both Muay Thai and Karate.
Our club instructor, 5th Dan Black Belt Jiu-Jitsu instructor, Sensei Ibush Kabashi has had considerable training in karate and incorporates many of the techniques into his unique blend of mixed martial arts.
If you are already training in Gōjū-ryū, Kyokushin, Shotokan, Shūdōkan, Wadō-ryū, Yoshukai etc you will have come to the conclusion that karate is a deadly martial art, as long as you are on your feet.
Our mixed martial art training will teach you takedowns, submissions and effective ground fighting, all of which are normally absent from a karate syllabus.
As a result, your martial arts knowledge will be much more rounded and your self-defence ability will be greatly strengthened. There are a number of karatekas who train with us on a regular basis in order to supplement their Karate training and learn exciting new techniques to take back to their own dojos.
We are conveniently located in North London with clubs in both High Barnet and Whetstone. Tuition is offered in MMA, encompassing techniques from the world of Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and other styles.
Whatever your style of martial art and training ability, from beginner through to advanced, you will benefit from additional training in our MMA club.
We welcome new students to a warm environment and disciplined professional training culture where you will exceed your potential and have a lot of fun at the same time.
